AZ-Delivery Dev Kit C has been designed by Espressif itself to provide an easy introduction to programming the new ESP32 dual core processor.
The Make! rightly called this module the “jack of all trades device”. With many new sensors and functions this board opens up new possibilities in IoT development.
Like its predecessor ESP8266, the WLAN functionality is implemented directly in the SoC, but with additional Bluetooth functionality (incl. BLE).
The ESP32 processor used combines in a single microcontroller chip a CPU with 2 Tensilica LX6 cores, clocked at up to 240 MHz, and 512 kilobytes of SRAM.
It also integrates a radio unit for WLAN (according to 802.11bgn) and Bluetooth (Classic and LE).
The WLAN function supports all common encryption methods such as WPA2.
It can also act as an access point or sniffer in passive mode in WLAN. UART, I2C, SPI, DAC, ADC (12 bit), among others, are available via the 32 pins, all GPIO pins can be used as input or output.
