uard is made of two different Materials: the part that connects the bike to the chain part is make of aluminium and the part that protects the chain is make of ABS plastic.
The reason for the two different materials: if you have fell and damaged your bike in an accident，the plastic part will not damage your bike chain.
If this part is make of aluminium, it may damage your chain if it rubs against the chain while you are riding.
The mounting part is aluminium because we want it to hold the product securely on your bike
