Founded in 1889, the company has continued to expand its range of services. BESSEY started production of manual clamping tools in the mid-1930s and has since then underlined its innovative strength with numerous patents, e.g. in 1936 for its malleable cast iron clamp and in 2009 for the optimised all-steel rail profile. With the acquisition of the traditional Diener Werkzeugfabrik GmbH in 1979, BESSEY established cutting technology with the Erdi sheet metal shears brand already known on the market. Today BESSEY counts with approx. 1,200 products are one of the largest clamping and cutting tool manufacturers in the world and is represented in over 100 countries.
