The new Brompton brake levers with integrated bell (and gear shifters) were introduced on the 2017 model – this is one of them (colour: black) OK – so in the UK a bell is required to be on a brand new bicycle when sold. But it is not actually required by law on a bicycle. Bear in mind though, that if you take your Brompton abroad (including Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man) then a bell is a legal requirement. It can also be useful to help reduce the shock to others sharing your trail as you approach. Fits other bicycle brands – not just Brompton
