Handmade singing bowl, 200 g-300 g, diameter is 11 cm-12 cm, h 5 cm-5.5 cm, ring cushion diameter is 10 cm, friction rod with felt cover is 20 cm long. The most beautiful sound is generated by gently striking, which is best with a soft, fabric tape glued, rubbing rod, a felt beater or a felt bobbin can also be used. We give great importance to a particularly beautiful sound. Sometimes the visual appearance of the bowl is suboptimal (see some photos) but it is compensated with excellent sound properties. Originally, the Himalayan singing bowls were used as everyday utensils. In the past, shamans blacksmiths were travelling in the Himalayas, forging for local people the harnesses they needed (singing bowls). The beautiful sound may come from the knowledge of the harmonisation of the individual metals (which, as in alchemy, represents different aspects and elements). A harmony of the different elements was achieved when the alloy produced a nice sound when hit. This corresponds to the ideal image of the Buddhist doctrine of balance and harmony.
