The material is particularly used for professional darts games because the fibres are flexible and at the same time very shape-retentive. When the dart points with metal tips are pulled out of the board the individual fibres go back to their initial position. Compared to the cork dartboard the holes close by themselves and the board can be used for a long period of time. That is why the Force 8 can be used as a steel tip dartboard without any problems.
