- Splice boxes are permanently installed in the network cabinet to bundle the fiber optic cables converging there – comparable to a patch panel for copper laying cables.
- In the network cabinet, the signal of the fiber optic cable can be patched to switch, media converter, router, modem, server, SFP modules or FTTH / FTTB home input boxes using patch cables.
- The fiber pigtails used are colored according to DIN IEC 60304 and inserted into the splice cassette(s).
- The housing material used is 1 mm thick sheet steel painted or powder-coated in grey (RAL 7035).
- The splice box is already pre-fitted – an equipped splice cassette and corresponding couplings for the front panel are already installed.
