The cells are square shaped with round edges and a smooth taper to allow for easy sowing and transplanting, assisted by the large 12mm diameter drainage holes which can be used to poke out young plants. Adjustable ventilation allows for humidity and air control to keep seedlings moist, reduce evaporation and allow heat to penetrate easily and keep the soil at a constant temperature.
