Eva Solo Ice Cube Cooler. The prize winning duo of Danish designers, Claus Jensen and Henrik Holbaek are behind the most exclusive gentlemen’s gift of the year – the so-called “ice cube cooler”. This new product within the Eva Solo line is used for the making, storing and serving of ice cubes and as such combining the properties of the traditional ice cube tray with those of a cooler bucket. The ice cube tray of soft rubber is filled with water and then placed in the freezer. The tray features a small practical point which will please a lot of people, it has extra high sides to avoid spilling water on your way from the sink to the freezer. When the water has frozen you have 16 gentlemen’s ice cubes to be twisted easily out into the double-walled metallic bowl. Then the ice cube tray is turned upside down and used as a lid. To give it the finishing touch, the enclosed ice cube tongs are placed as a knob on top of the lid, giving you enough ice cubes for a bundle of drinks.
