This apron does not have any lead in the rear panels. This reduces the weight of the apron and makes it more comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The apron is fastened to the body with a front hook and loop closure belt, which cross over the back of the apron and attach to the front waist. This system helps keep the apron securely in place and provides additional back support by redistributing the weight from the shoulders. There is no lead in the back of this apron style and so it is best suited to procedures where less protection is required.
