Why use Goaycer banana plugs for speakers?
There are a variety of reasons for using banana plugs for your speakers.
1. The first thing is just convenience. It is so easy when you want to assemble.
Move or clean the speaker pole terminals to pull out the plug.
2. Multiple amplifiers and different speakers. If you have more than one HiFi stereo system or more than one speaker set, you can unplug the power plug
and move the cables every time. You could use an amp switch that makes it easier
but you may want to avoid another connection point between the stereo system and your speakers.
3. Reduced wear – both on your cables, speakers and your amplifiers. The less you need to touch all these elements, the better.
The more human oil you get on your cables, the more likely they are to deteriorate, especially in humid conditions.
4. The fourth reason for using banana plugs on your speakers is to ensure a solid,
Continuous connection. There is no doubt that the bare wires into the slot and the
screw cap on the speaker port, but there is always the feeling that you may not have screwed it tight enough.
5. Scattered wires – The other problem is if you have a stray wire that can reach over another connection and touch it.
6. Aesthetics. It just looks much nicer to have clean cable clips.
And if you’ve ever hung out on the Reddit stereo forums, you’ll know how seriously audiophiles take their neat wiring.
7. Colour coded to ensure your speakers are in phase.
