- Traditional igloos are too bulky, and they take up excessive space inside a cage and leave little room for guinea pigs to roam. Large igloos like this can often be taken over by one dominant piggy, excluding the others. Additionally, igloos are aesthetically unappealing pieces of plastic that can make your habitat look tacky.
- Traditional igloos are also unsanitary as guinea pigs tend to pee and poo frequently while resting. The floors beneath an igloo can quickly get filled with soiled bedding, and since igloos lack ventilation, the floors become wet and dirty, forcing your guinea pigs to sleep in their waste.
