Hahnemühle 87GSM QFH Quartz Fibre Filter is made of pure quartz microfibers (SiO2) without binders or additives. Recommended filters for air pollution control and particle determination at high temperatures. Ideal for trace analysis due to extremely low metal content. Determination of suspended matter (SPM and TSP) in ambient air in accordance with the relevant specifications of the US EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) and EN 23210. Excellent absorption of very fine particles due to the adsorption mechanism of the quartz fibres’. Excellent stability with almost no loss of the filter material through chemical reactions, even under extreme conditions with acid gases (HCl, SO2, SO3, H2SO4, NO and NO3). Excellent resistance to chemical solvents: bases, acids (except hydrofluoric acid) and alkaline substances. Stability at high temperatures: higher resistance than glass microfiber; up to 1000 degree. Diameter: 150 mm.
