The Hekatron Basic X radio module has been specially developed for use in the Genius Plus X smoke detector. The Genius Plus X smoke detector is approved in combination with the Basic X radio modules in accordance with VdS 3515 for smoke detectors with wireless networking (VdS G no. 215027). The smoke detector connected with the basic X radio modules does not replace a fire detector centre. In the event of smoke or fire detection, a direct alarm transmission to the fire brigade is desired or required, fire alarm systems in accordance with DIN 14675 must be used. The Basic X radio module can only be installed in the Genius Plus X smoke detector provided for this purpose. The application area is limited to residential houses, homes and rooms of residential use. No configuration or line setting is required for the Basic X radio module. All you need to do is set up a radio. A mixing operation of Genius Plus X and Genius Hx is basically possible, but with limited functionality.

- Each line is automatically assigned a unique identification code upon commissioning – prevents alarms from being triggered by radio signals from adjacent wireless networks.

- When a wireless smoke detector detects smoke, the alarm signal is forwarded to the other fire detector with 20 seconds delay – in case of deceptive alarm, test button prevents forwarding.
