The SMARTFiberPro is an easy to use fibre optic power meter for testing the strength of light transmission in fibre optic fibres over six wavelengths: 850, 1300, 1310, 1490, 1550 and 1625 nm. The device tests the fibreoptic light intensity in a bandwidth of +3 to -60 dBm.
The Hobbes SMARTFiberPro has a 2.5 mm universal adapter that is compatible with most interfaces such as ST, SC or FC. It is possible to test cables in single mode or multi mode. With an optional 2.5mm to 1.25mm adapter, Fibre Optic interface such as LC with 1.25mm diameter can be used. The Hobbes SMARTFiberPro can also receive analogue sound signals (270 Hz, 1 kHz, 2 kHz). For quick and easy application and testing the corresponding wavelengths, we recommend using together with a Hobbes OPTISource for automatic identification of wavelengths in fibre optic cables. The device uses an InGaAs detector to ensure improved sensitivity and temperature stability. It can store up to 1000 test results in internal memory and also upload them to PC via the built-in USB interface. In conjunction with the included software, you have the opportunity to display the test results both graphically and tabularly, and create test reports.
