It was established in 1988 with the aim of providing a representative image of the Fuji group’s high performance and quality products and to direct Subaru’s activities within the FIA WRC, i.e. the World Rally Championship. This is where Subaru made its debut in 1990, winning, among other things, 3 consecutive brand titles and the same number of drivers: Colin McRae, Richard Burns and Peter Solberg.
