Why do you choose this tool —This PVC inner pipe cutter set is an awesome plumbing tool for tight spaces. When a plumber is faced with situations where using a regular pipe cutter or hand saw seems impossible, this small tool truly stands out. With minimal potential for damaging floor, wall or fixtures, cutting PVC pipe from the inside is definitely the way to go. Just attach the blade to a power drill and transform it into a powerful cutter.
How to Use the Pipe Cutter — Extension rod (first) – serrated washer – saw blade – flat washer – screw (last). The screws must be tightened and reinforced! (1)Install the shaft and saw blade correctly. Securely tighten the bolt to prevent loosening during cutting. (2)Attach the hexagon shaft to your electric drill using a 1/4 inch chuck. Ensure a firm installation to prevent any loosening while cutting. (3)Insert the saw blade to the desired cutting point within the pipe(1-1/4 inch or larger). Trigger the drill to activate the rotating blade. Press and move the blade along the inside edge of the pipe for a clean cut.
The direction of the saw teeth should correspond with your drill’s rotation direction to enable effective cutting.
1.This is because as the drill rotates, the teeth of the saw blade dig into the material, facilitating the cutting process.
2.If you typically set your drill to rotate clockwise, you’ll want to install the saw blade so that the printed side is facing you or the drill. This ensures the saw teeth will cut into the pipe properly as they rotate.
3.On the other hand, if you use a counterclockwise rotation on your drill, the saw blade should be installed with the printed side facing away from you or the drill. This configuration maintains the correct alignment of the saw teeth for efficient cutting as the blade spins.
