When Johnny Knoxville and the guys returned in 2006 to make JACKASS: NUMBER TWO, they filmed more than a movie, they filmed a movie and a half. This film includes hilarious new interviews and never-before-seen stunts, pranks, and other random acts of mischief and stupidity that could never be shown in theatres.
Sitting somewhere between the television series and the two movies, Jackass 2.5 delivers pretty much what youd expect: its Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Bam Margera and company risking bodies and dignity, all in the quest to raise a laugh.
Jackass 2.5 runs to just over an hour, and its made up of the footage that didnt make the second film. Thats not to say this is B-grade material, as theres plenty packed in here that the Jackass fan simply wont want to miss. There are cows, bikes, rockets, snakes and a whole lot more standing between the team and their laughs.
If its hardly a radical formula after all this time, then theres good reason. Put simply, Jackass 2.5 delivers, and raises hair-raising guffaws with real regularity. Whether its a re-enactment of King Kong, frequent explorations of wind or a unique take on a bullfight, theres a lot to enjoy.
Jackass 2.5 wont win over any converts to the franchise, and its shorter than youd ideally like it to be, but its still a very fun way to spend an hour. Its also, it should be said, not for the squeamish. But you probably knew that already
