AVn-60b (Gen-I bridge pickup) Tightly focused, twangy, classic Tele(TM) tone that’s never thin or harsh. The very definition of aged Telecaster(TM) tone is captured in this fabulous pickup. Outwardly it even looks exactly like the original, with black twine coil-wrap and 6 Alnico rod magnets. These Alnico magnets impart an interesting midrange complexity/ detail character into the tone and the result is more fullness and girth to the sound, it sounds a little fatter than non-noiseless pickups without being muddy or veiled and has excellent on-stage definition and presence without playing too loud. The twang is sharp and the highs are sweet. Big dynamic range is great for expression and the twang turns to midrange growl when the volume is up and stays focused and clean but breaks easily into crunch when pushed hard. Has Zero-Hum and zero microphonic whistle. Other features that players will be delighted with is the superb dynamic range and string volume balance. It’s upper coil is wrapped with period-correct Black cotton twine just like the original. The lower coil is wound on out Patented H-Core (150 laminated steel plates).
