The Colori+ Collection – Ultra Efficient, Beautifully Colourful! Released in 2014 as an evolution of the existing Colori range, Kuhn Rikon’s Colori+ knives incorporate a specially-designed non-slip grip for maximum safety at all times. The range includes paring (straight and serrated), utility, chef’s, Santoku (small and large) and bread knives, each of which serve a distinct purpose within the kitchen. The blade of all Colori+ knives is constructed from carefully-selected Japanese stainless steel that is heated in an annealing furnace at over 1000 degrees Celsius/1832 degrees Fahrenheit. This ensures that the cutting surface is not only sufficiently hard, but also flexible and rust-resistant. The blade is then subsequently polished and ground by hand on both sides. Every knife receives a final grinding by an experienced and skilled craftsman. The angle of the blade grinding (14 degrees on each side; double-bevelled) is crucial in relation to the superior performance of the knives. The cutting surface is coated with anti-stick silicone that prevents food from adhering to the blade. A safety sheath is included with every Colori+ knife for risk-free storage when not in use. The sheath also allows the knives to be easily transported for use during picnics, barbecues, camping etc without being damaged. In addition to the meticulous manufacturing process, every knife from the Colori+ collection is subjected to strict quality control procedures. The knives are guaranteed for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase in accordance with general domestic usage.
