- Monolithic integrated, high voltage, high current, 4-channel driver. Basically this means using this chip you can use DC motors and power supplies of up to 36 Volts.
- L293D chips are also known as type H Bridges. The H-Bridge is typically an electrical circuit that enables a voltage to be applied across a load in either direction to an output, e.g. motor.
- Up to 4 bidirectional DC motors and 4 way PWM speed regulation (about 0.5% resolution); Up to two stepper motors are in forward and reverse control, single / double step control, staggered or microstepping and rotation angle control.
- 4 way H-bridge. L293D chip provides 0.6A (peak 1.2A) current per way, and has thermal power off protection, can run motors on 4.5V to 36V. Pull-down resistors keep motors disabled during power-up.
