The production of high-quality saws (NOKOGIRI) has centuries of tradition in Japan. Nokogiri differ from European saws in many ways. For example, these saws cut in tension, so the saw blade can be made thinner and harder. This in turn means lower cutting forces and longer service life and allows cuts with precision that is not seen in Europe. Thanks to the pull function and the razor-sharp teeth, you can cut effortlessly and without effort. The saws are equally suitable for soft and hard wood. There are 2 traditional types of teeth: trapezoidal teeth for cross-sections and triangular teeth for longitudinal cuts. The teeth are only slightly set and thus allow minimal cutting losses and smooth, tear-free cutting surfaces. The unusually long handle for Europe has been able to find the optimal balance for centuries to let the saw “float” through the wood. We generally distinguish between saws with changeable and fixed saw blade. The saws with interchangeable blade are available in well-known professional quality. The “Gold Series” is the top range with even thinner saw blades for even finer cuts. Here each sheet is “hand checked” after production.
