The ceramic grains used for Mirka® Galaxy are self-sharpening. The blue ceramic grain is designed to remain permanently sharp, as its structure breaks during grinding, creating new edges and thus having a self-sharpening effect.
Always in the right place – Multifit™
The new Multifit from Mirka is a new design with optimised hole placement. With this new concept, the abrasive can be used on any machine without the need for special alignment.
Thanks to the new multifit hole pattern and the low wear of the ceramic grains, an abrasive has been developed that guarantees replacement speed and time savings during work. This allows work to continue without interruption and at the same time achieves a perfect balance between long service life and dust extraction.
Non-stick coating without clogging
One of the most important aspects in the development of a long-lasting abrasive is to avoid clogging.
For Galaxy, Mirka has opted for a special non-stick coating without clogging, which can repel dust better. This coating prevents dust from sticking to the abrasive and, together with the multifit hole pattern, ensures better dust extraction. Mirka® Galaxy is a new member of the Mirka Dust-Free family. If it is ensured that work can be carried out virtually dust-free, the abrasive remains sharp for longer.
