The Mitutoyo 547-561S Digimatic thickness gauge is for measuring the thickness of pipe walls or curved boards. This gauge has a measurement range of 0 to 0.47″ (0 to 12mm), a resolution of up to 0.0005″, and an accuracy of + or – 0.001″. The IDS-type LCD screen displays in inches and metric units, and can rotate 330 degrees. The contact point for this gauge is curved and ceramic for corrosion-resistance. Additional functions include origin setting and direction changeover.
This gauge has a measuring force of 1.5 Newtons (N) or less. The unit has a battery life of 5,000 hours. An SR-44 battery is included. This caliper offers serial data output (using optional SPC cables, sold separately), which increases speed and reliability of digital measurement records.
