Adapter Cable
This 1 foot (0.3 m) HDMI to DVI cable is made for bidirectional signal transfer. This means it supports signal from HDMI to DVI as well as DVI to HDMI. The adapter can be primarily used to turn a DVI-D Dual Link or DVI-I Dual Link port into a HDMI port.
The cable convertor has a Male DVI-D Dual Link connector at one end. This connector can be connected to either a Female DVI-D (Dual Link) or a Female DVI-I (Dual Link) port.
The cable has a PVC outer layer which increases durability and gold-plated connectors for optimal signal transfer and resists corrosion.
Important: The HDMI connector is Female and the DVI-D (Dual Link) connector is Male.
High Resolution Video Transfer
The HDMI to DVI cable uses a DVI-D Dual Link connector which supports resolutions up to 1080p Full HD (60Hz). It is important to note that all DVI connectors only transmit video signals, not audio signals.
Compatibility
This Bi-Directional Female HDMI to Male DVI-D cable convertor connects a Female DVI-equipped output device to your HDMI-equipped HDTV, display, monitor or projector.
It is also possible to connect a HDMI output source device to a monitor with a Female DVI-D (Dual Link) or DVI-I (Dual Link) input. A separate HDMI cable may be required.
