The young trees have oval bluish-green leaves while the mature trees develop long, narrow, yellowish leaves In the 1980s, Eucalyptus species, hybrids and clones are planted commercially in South Africa for the production of pulp and paper and various other forest products. It has slowly evolved into a production of essential oils.
