We source our Shea Butter from a co-operative of women started by Georgina Koomson, based in Wa in Northern Ghana. This group of over 600 women support a local community of over 2400 individuals and through the production of Organic Shea Butter are helping to build a better future. We will be giving back to their community through various projects including the digging of a well to help ensure access to a safe clean water supply.
Why Shea Butter? Shea has been used for centuries as a naturally nourishing and moisturising butter and an ingredient in many of the world’s best beauty products. It provides condition and nourishment to skin that needs it most.

The Nuts are collected by the women, dried, shelled and ground, then roasted to bring out the oils and hand kneaded until it becomes a smooth creamy butter.
