Natural Wood Incense Stick Holder & Burner Ash Catcher Handmade

A hand made incense box made in India from decent quality hardwood. Burn your incense sticks, Dhoop or incense cones with the lid open while preserving handmade artistry of ethnic artisans of India. The construction and craftsmanship is basic. These boxes are all handmade by craftsmen in India using basic tools so please do not expect a machine made finish. The top opens to the main area for placing either incense cones or incense sticks for burning. Cones can be placed on metal discs and sticks in the side holes. The way it works is that you put your lit incense sticks into one of the small holes at either end . Shut the lid and that’s it – the smoke oozes out of the small cut out patterns in the lid. This makes it an attractive feature rather than a simple flat ash collecting design. Incense sticks are not supplied. At the end of the box at bottom, there is a small door which opens to reveal a compartment to store incense sticks. NOTE; BLOW THE FLAME OUT BEFORE SHUTTING THE LID on lit incense sticks. If burning INCENSE CONES, always use the ceramic disc that comes with cones and keep the lid OPEN. Instructions on Lighting incense sticks ; 1) Light the incense stick. 2) Extinguish the flame as soon as the inner core starts to glow red hot which normally happens in 30 – 40 seconds…. 3) Place the stick in the side holes of incense stick burner and close lid making sure the lid or the base does not touch the glowing stick. 4) Make sure the residual ash is collected at the bottom when it falls as the stick burns through. Imp; Never leave the flame burning for long. The ambers from the stick may fall and burn or damage the floor covering. Keep away from children. Remember Joss Sticks or Incense sticks release smoke so make sure a window is always open while burning any type.
