Tips:
The STUD mode of the wall scanner is only available for drywall, wood panelling and internal walls. New walls may take a week or more to dry after painting.
It is important to note that sensing depth and accuracy may vary depending on humidity, material content, wall texture and paint. Materials not suitable for scanning: e.g. ceramic floors, tile carpets, packing slats, foam insulation boards, glass or cement block masonry.
In AC mode, AC wires may not be detected if the wire is more than 51MM from the scanning surface, in concrete, encased in piping, behind a plywood shear wall or metal wall, in ambient conditions, or if there is moisture on the scanning surface.
NOTE: If in AC Scan Mode/Metal Scan Mode, the tool needs to be calibrated by exposing it to air.
