These connectors (each sold separately) can also be used to shorten any NMEA 2000 drop/backbone cable. They can also make it easier to run NMEA 2000 cables, by cutting off the original end connector, running the cable and then installing a NMEA 2000 field-installable connector. Use at the foot of the mast for easy connection/disconnection of the mast cables for mast mounted NMEA 2000 sensors. This is the MALE connector.
