PLANET ICS-110 Serial Device Server is specifically designed to convert serial RS232, RS422, or RS485 communication into Fast Ethernet networks to extend network distance efficiently and cost-effectively.
There is a 10/100BASE-TX RJ45 port in the ICS-110 and its operating temperature ranges from -10 to 60 degrees C for your networking needs. The ICS-110 is a time-saving and cost-effective solution for users and system integrators to quickly convert their serial devices to the Ethernet network without the need to replace the existing serial devices and software system.
Because the ICS-110 provides easy serial-to-Ethernet connectivity and connection to a TCP/IP network, the remote network system can be managed efficiently via its web, telnet, and VCOM management interfaces. It supports both application and serial operating modes for alarm or IP address connection, which saves the network administrator time in detecting and locating network problems without visual inspection of wiring and devices. Multiple connection options are also available for large network environments.
The ICS-110 can be used as a standalone unit or as a slide-in module to the PLANET Media Converter chassis (MC-700 and MC-1500 chassis). The media enclosure can assist in providing DC current for the ICS-110 and can be mounted on DIN rail or wall for efficient use of the control cabinet without having to replace existing serial equipment and software system.
