Turbo Pure 48 is a temperature-tolerant turbo yeast that is suited for mash and alco base, not for fruit Schnapps. Maximum dosage is 5.4 gram yeast per litre (0.7 oz./US gallon or 0.85 oz./UK gallon). The fermentation is very clean, but at high temperatures a lot of by-products are produced. TurboPure 48 easily produces 18% ethanol by volume, but 20% with glucose if liquid temperature is kept at 20-25 °C throughout fermentation.
