This traditional wall brush enables you to rapidly paint large areas such as interior walls and ceilings or staining interior panels (not fences or sheds). Suitable for water-based emulsions (eg. matt, silk, eggshell) as well as woodstains and varnishes, the extra wide 6″ (150mm) head is made from pure grey bristle with a longer filament length than standard flat brushes, so it loads up plenty of paint and releases it smoothly throughout the stroke for fast, efficient painting. The bristle is set into a rust-resistant copper ferrule mounted onto a wide, flat, satin varnished handle. The handle is made from marine ply wood, which is traditionally used as the name suggests for applying marine paints as it uses the best grades of veneer that gives high mechanical strength and the ability to resist water penetration and deforming of the wood – even when fully immersed. This makes it also suitable for used as a splash plastering brush for wetting down before final sponging or trowelling.
