- Features: Cage nuts are a type of nut specifically designed for use with server racks and cabinets and other equipment mounting applications. They are used to secure and mount equipment, such as servers, switches, and patch panels, onto vertical rack rails.
- Design: Cage nuts consist of a square nut with small spring-like tabs, commonly referred to as cage springs, attached to the back side. These cage springs allow the nut to be inserted into square mounting holes on the vertical rack rails.
- Corrosion resistance: Cage nuts are made of stainless steel, has excellent resistance to corrosion and rust, great for both indoor and outdoor use. Smooth surface withouot burrs, sturdy and durable.
- Easy installation: To install a cage nut, you align the cage springs with the mounting hole on the rack rail and insert the nut. Then, you squeeze the sides of the nut together, compressing the cage springs. This forces the tabs to catch on the edges of the mounting hole and secure the nut in place.
