Product Description
The assault gun was developed in the period 1936-39 to provide armoured support to the infantry. This happened mainly because the new tanks that were produced were intended for the tank divisions (armored). In a battlefield situation, there was no guarantee that tanks would be available to an armored division to support the infantry. This is how the idea of the assault rifle regiment originated organically into an infantry division. The newly developed storm pistol was based on the Panzerkampfwagen III designated strut protection III, the assault rifle had a low construction with its main armament mounted in the upper front and equipped with limited travers. Pre-production vehicles were combat-tested in the invasion of France in May 1940 and then ordered into large-scale production. Requires colour and assembly.
