Product Description
The British Army produced over 13,000 vehicles from the 2 ton 4×2 field ambulance from 1940 to the end of World War II. It was a powerful vehicle for auxiliary missions. The vehicle body is based on a civilian light truck, and the Army Medical Corps has independently developed the rear compartment. It contained numerous medical equipment, including benches that could be converted into bunk beds. The field of application was wide and included France, North Africa, Italy and Europe after Normandy. The vehicle has been seen in use not only by the army, but also at air bases across the country.
