The USS Enterprise CV-6 was the second ship of the Yorktown class and was served in 1938 as the sixth US marine aircraft carrier. In the Pacific War, she was involved in 18 out of 22 major marine operations. It was severely damaged 15 times, but returned to use again and again and again became the symbol of Navy’s determination to win victory in the Pacific. In 1947 the USS Enterprise, lovingly called “Big E”, was discontinued and finally scrapped from 1958 to 1960. To this day, it is the highly-decorated ship in the history of the US Navy. The Tamiya model kit shows the famous aircraft carrier as it was on service at the end of World War II, including upgraded air defense (AA) weapons and Hellcat, Corsair, Avenger and Helldiver aircraft.
Contains small parts that could be a choking hazard.
