How to Use Clean the inner rim surface, removing any burrs and dirt. Begin winding the rim tape around the inner wheel rim, starting 10 cm (3.9 inches) away from the tyre valve hole to ensure it covers the valve. As you wind, pull the tape firmly so it adheres smoothly to the rim without air bubbles. After wrapping twice around the rim, cut the tape. Complete the wrapping process. Locate the tyre valve hole, and carefully pierce the tape over the hole using a sharp object to prepare for the vacuum valve installation. Install the tyre and you’re ready to ride!
